Whether you are new to Berthoud and the surrounding area or are an ancestor of local pioneers, we now all benefit from the hard work and perseverance of the visionary settlers who founded this area. The Forge the Future for Our Past Campaign is your means to preserve and share our legacy!

Help us increase our level of service to the Northern Colorado community and sustain the growth of the Berthoud Historical Society Museums over time through:
Additional building / building site
Overcrowded Museum buildings, no workshop to create exhibits, deficient storage and collection preservation, and inadequate public facilities are the driving factors in our launch of the Forge the Future for Our Past campaign. Our plan is to acquire an additional property nearby.
Renovations
The Bimson Blacksmith Shop, Carlson Building, Bimson Barn, Meining Homestead Cabin, and the Little Thompson Valley Pioneer Museum back yard have planned renovations.
New building construction
Improve and expand museum facilities by constructing a new building. A public research library, collections storage, workshop, archives, offices, conference room and museum store are to be included.
Endowment fund
Interest generated through the endowment will provide lasting support for the ongoing needs of the Berthoud Historical Society’s museums, programs and activities.
